Endangered Orphans of Condyle Cove

Created by Certifiable Studios

A deplorable tabletop game devoid of joy, hope, or humor; which, regrettably, is also far more awesome than it has any right to be.

Update #78 - Our Goof Is Your Gain
over 3 years ago – Thu, Aug 06, 2020 at 05:22:16 PM

Also, we've had quite a few Q's come across our desk in regards to the re-release of Condyle Cove. So here's some A's:

Q: If I have the original Endangered Orphans of Condyle Cove, can I just get the new elements that have been added to the game?

A: No. The art on the back of the new Options cards will not match the art on the back of the original ones. We were always a fan of the cards we designed for the tournament deck, so we’ll be replacing the single-orphan silhouette with the two children helping each other (to counter the favorite "No Friend of Mine" card).

Q: The rule book for the original Endangered Orphans sorta stinks (from cat litter). Will the new rule book be better?

A: The "much better PDF" Endangered Orphans of Condyle Cove rule book will come with the reprint of Condyle Cove. If you only want the new rule book, there will be a way to add that to your House of Rath purchase (at no charge).

Q: Will I have a chance to get any of the original booster packs containing the different Cul-De-Sac options?

A: All four of the extra Cul-De-Sacs will come in the "Last Winter of Benny Harris" expansion.

Q: Will there be a Ghost of Benny pawn?

A: Yes. There has always been a Benny pawn. He was the yellow fourth-player pawn added to the original Condyle Cove. This was used when playing the "Hot Potato" (Ghost of Benny) version of the game. The Condyle Cove reprint will feature a more “ghostly” Benny. (By that, we mean he’ll glow in the dark. You know…for all those times you’ll be playing in complete darkness.) Oh, and speaking of Benny…  We’ve always loved the “Hot Potato” variant, but like you, we had some issues with the consistency of the digital version. Because of that, we’re looking into a more practical way to incorporate this aspect of the game.

Q: Are the rules really good enough to line my litter box with? What about other parts of the game? Can I use them to absorb feline waste as well?

A: Most any part of Endangered Orphans can (and should) be used to line a litter box. That said, there’s a chance the kitty poop will get caught on the pages of the book, making it a little tougher to completely clean the box. But that’s still a far better use of your time than playing this deplorable game.

Endangered Orphans HOUSE OF RATH
over 3 years ago – Fri, Jul 31, 2020 at 11:43:47 PM

Hey everyone! We're back! But this time we are introducing a new friend to the Endangered Orphans world.

Sorry.

On August 10th, we are gong to introduce Count Rath to the Cove and to those poor, unfortunate orphans. It's a brand new game in the theme of Endangered Orphans and we think you're going to love it!

Also, we will be taking preorders for Condyle Cove's 2nd printing since we are sold out of the original. It's going to feature some new artwork as well as a new boogeyman card among other things, but is still the same game as before.

If you'd like to be notified when the campaign goes live on August 10th, click below to opt in.

Would you like to meet a fellow orphan?

Greetings, Orphans!

It's been a while since this journey in Condyle Cove began, but we'd like to introduce you to another orphan that has quickly become one of our heroes.  Like most superheroes, Matilda has a troubled past, but it has made her who she is today.

Many might think a small German orphanage is about as far as one could get from the high-flying spectacle that is the BTC. After all, many competitors were born with wealth, privilege, or a storied pedigree in the sport of Bottletop Chicks

Matilda, on the other hand, was born with absolutely nothing. This means she has nothing to lose, and that—with an indomitable spirit thrown in for good measure—makes her very dangerous. It alsogives her the kind of superhero origin story the BTC crowds love (and the Boogeyman loathes).

We’d love it if you’d check out Matilda and the rest of the BTC competitors on the Bottletop Chicks Kickstarter page.  In Bottletop Chicks, competitors play for their country—and their corporate sponsors—in a futuristic aerial combat game that marries brutality with brilliance. Two to four players attempt to avoid or counter attacks from their opponent(s) while delivering maximum damage of their own in the arena (represented by a 7x7 playing board). Players have identical decks from which to select their moves, so a player’s success relies upon their ability to anticipate opponents’ maneuvers while disguising their own. In other words? It’s just your typical stock-car-racing-meets-MMA-meets-chess throwdown with a little patriotic pride thrown in for good measure.

Have a great weekend and thank you for all your support!

ENDANGERED ORPHANS COLLECTOR'S COIN
about 5 years ago – Thu, Feb 14, 2019 at 11:29:50 PM

Happy Valentine's Day to all of our Orphan backers!

To recap, if you want to guarantee getting an Endangered Orphans coin and don't mind paying $10 for shipping, you can order it now.  If you think you may want it, but would rather wait to see what shipping will be later, that works as well, but we could run out.  In the end, you don't need it. Of course, if you were on the fence about buying D6, you could do so and get the coin shipped for free, but that's just silly.
