Endangered Orphans of Condyle Cove

Created by Certifiable Studios

A deplorable tabletop game devoid of joy, hope, or humor; which, regrettably, is also far more awesome than it has any right to be.

EU BACKERS

A quick update about your orphan delivery...

If you are interested in tracking the ship containing your orphans, here you go:
V/V:CMA CGM VASCO DE GAMA 209FLW  YANTIAN--SOUTHAMPTON

The orphans are nearing Malacca City
The orphans are nearing Malacca City

It is scheduled to arrive at port on 22 July.  Once at port, GamesQuest is telling me it will take 3 to 5 days to get through customs, then 2 to 3 days to organize and start the shipments to you. Based on the order information, we should expect all shipments to depart their warehouse in about a week. So...first week of August is likely, meaning arrival soon thereafter.  For those of you that need to delay your shipment for holiday purposes, please send me (Certifiable Studios) a direct message through Kickstarter.

Thanks,
Rick

THINGS ARE MOVING!
almost 7 years ago – Thu, Jul 06, 2017 at 01:21:09 AM

Things are moving (in more ways than one)!

NON-EU ORPHANS
Send From China has received everything they need from us to get things going, and they are now waiting on the "strengthened cartons" for the 152 different packaging combinations we provided them.  The first batch of shipments will go out next week, and they are prioritizing all the orders that are getting the game only, because it is just easier and will free up a bit of space more quickly.  After that, they will move to some of the combination packages. If you ordered translations, everything will arrive with your game. If you ordered coasters, books or prints, you will be receiving these directly from our local fulfillment house in Mississippi, so you'll be getting two packages.  I am led to believe the shipments should start to move pretty quickly once they start, but we won't know what "quickly" means until it happens. I can just tell you I've put every ounce of pressure on expedience that I can.

EU ORPHANS
For those of you in the EU, we are still on track for the ship to arrive on 22 July, and the translation decks have already arrived and are waiting. I have asked for a better understanding of how long it will take to get things in their warehouse, organized and for the fulfillment process to begin, but haven't received an answer yet. Unlike the non-EU packages for those of you that ordered books, coasters or prints, we are sending everything directly to GamesQuest to group your order. So you will be receiving everything together from them to ensure we are handling the customs and VAT issues as promised.

WHAT NOW?
We have now done everything we can do. I'm excited to know each of you are soon to be endangering your own helpless orphans, but I'm also nervous. Is everything going to go perfectly from this point on? We aren't that lucky. But...we will remain committed to doing everything we can to get as close as possible. In the meantime...we anxiously wait.

WHO GOES THERE?
As we've mentioned many times before, we are excited about our new project Who Goes There?, based on the book that inspired John Carpenter's The Thing, and we are ready to unleash it on the world. I'm not exactly excited about responding to those of you that believe we shouldn't do anything until EO is in your hands, but we've now done everything we can do. We've waited as long as we could, but we have a time limit on our license, so we'll simply have to ask for your understanding...and hopefully your support. That said...here's the THING!

We hope to see you there!
We hope to see you there!

For those of you that are interested in backing Who Goes There?, we are offering a 38 hour $5.00 early backer discount tier for each level.  It will expire at midnight CST on Tuesday!

THE SHIP HAS SAILED, AND A FEW TRUCKS, TOO!
almost 7 years ago – Sat, Jul 01, 2017 at 12:55:57 AM

June is coming to a close and the orphans have finally left the building.  The manufacturing plant to be more specific.

NON EU ORPHANS
It took 4 truckloads to get everything from Panda to SFC, but everything is accounted for and has arrived safely.  They are now in the process of organizing everything in the warehouse and we are having the strengthened custom packaging manufactured based on the different orders. We are also having to manually apply barcode labels to all items that we didn't have barcodes printed on, which is pretty much everything except the base game itself.  This entire process, I'm being told, will take up to one week and then we will start the mass wave of shipments.  I've noticed quite a few comments asking how their address can be changed, and I can still help you if you direct message me today or tomorrow.  I'm submitting the final form with all shipping information Sunday afternoon our time to have it ready for Monday morning in China. This only applies for non EU backers.

EU ORPHANS
For those in the EU, your games have set sail and are on their way.  They are still scheduled to land July 22nd.  From that point, GamesQuest will get everything ready for fulfillment.  I am not submitting the final addresses to them until we get a little closer, so if you need to update your address, send me a direct message and I'll try to help.

ALL ORPHANS
I know there are quite a few of you that are concerned about the timing of your Orphan delivery because of trips and holidays, and I would like to help if I can.  If you want to delay your delivery to make certain the packages won't be orphaned, please let me know through direct message and I will put you on a secondary shipment list.  I don't know if this is a normal Kickstarter thing or not, but we want to do everything we can to remedy any concerns or issues our delay has caused.  I'll need to know if you want a delay immediately for non EU backers, but we still have a little time for EU changes.

Please keep in mind the comments section is great for general info that everyone can benefit from, but my priority is always on direct messages. I'll try to respond on the comments section when I can, but if you expect a more reliable response, direct is better for me.

Thank you, and have a great weekend!

FINALLY MOVING!
almost 7 years ago – Sat, Jun 24, 2017 at 01:28:47 AM

Finally? Finally!

It's taken way longer than I wanted or even imagined in a worst case scenario, but the games are finally moving.  Interestingly, we have sent all the elements that we produced outside of Panda to SFC from the United States in a matter of a couple of days, but getting things coordinated to move across town in Shenzhen has taken weeks.  I guess that's the difference in 50kg and over 18,000kg. That said, we are moving along. Everything will be staged and ready by end of day Tuesday, and then we will start the process of getting things to you. When I ask the fulfillment house how long this phase will take, I am told "quickly", but I have learned that my definition is not the same as others. The service we are using with SFC is tracked, so you should be getting notification once your package is in queue.  We recognize that some of you may be taking extended holiday in July, so if you are concerned about your package not making it to you while you are in town, please let me know and I can try to accommodate.

For the European Union, the games are scheduled to arrive at port for GameQuest to start fulfillment on July 22nd.  We will do everything we can to fast track the packages from that time, but this is my first time to work with their process (as it is with SFC), so please remain patient.

Even though many aspects of this have gone slowly, we are really proud of the quality product and are excited about applying this "expertise" on projects moving forward.

Have a great weekend!

READY OR NOT...
almost 7 years ago – Thu, Jun 08, 2017 at 12:40:12 AM

I'm excited to announce everything is officially produced, assembled and packaged for your Endangered Orphans.   Now we are in the process of getting everything on pallets and on their way to the fulfillment houses. This process has gone a little slower than it probably should have, and I am to blame for this...but it is moving.  There were a few instances that I failed to properly connect the many parties together for coordination in a timely fashion, only to learn this when I expected different results. That said, I've now become an expert at the expense of the Orphans. So...that's something.

TO EU...
Outside the Panda manufacturing realm, we are in the process of getting all translation packets and other non-game materials to GameQuest so they will be ready when the boat arrives. Everything will be ready and waiting for the bulk shipment, so once it arrives, there will be no further delay in getting straight into the fulfillment process.  Please be patient with this process. It will take up to 7 days to clear customs in China, then it gets on the next boat, then we painstakingly wait up to 35 days for it to inch its way across the map.  I truly wish it was faster, but it's not.

OR NOT TO EU...
For the rest of the world outside the EU, we will be working on getting everything to you via Send From China.  Once the packages are picked up and delivered to their warehouse, they will do some sample packages for me to review.  They typically use heavy duty envelopes with cotton, but I have requested custom boxes to help ensure the Orphan's safe arrival.  I expect to get in the full swing of fulfillment with SFC in two to three weeks.  Better safe than sorry, right? Wait...don't answer that.

ARE WE THERE YET?
I know you are all anxious for this campaign to come to an end, but hang in there a bit longer. You'll be playing Endangered Orphans before you know it (which is safe for me to say since the alternative is impossible no matter how long it takes).  Once we get to the final bell before shipping starts, we'll be sending out the final call for any address changes, so please be looking for that.

WHO GOES THERE? AND A BAND-AID
While I've been focused on Endangered Orphans fulfillment, the rest of the team has been putting the final touches on WHO GOES THERE?, which we aim to Kickstart soon and hope you'll come along for the ride. I can honestly say nobody will be more excited than me as I get to redeem myself for the one or two mistakes I may or may not have made during this campaign.  Also, our friends at White Cherry Games (the guys that just released Family Plot) are in the middle of their newest KS campaign for BANDEMONIUM! - A Battle of the Bands Party Game! A card game where you battle other bands for a much coveted and life-changing record deal. "The name of my band is..."  Please check it out so you can get your mind off thinking F@#K Rick!, which is obviously the name of Jesse's band.
